As we step into the New Year, it’s the perfect time to look back at how far we’ve come, and ahead to where we’re going.
Jays have always been more than a logistics company. We’re a family-owned business built on trust, hard work, and long-standing relationships. Those values were there from day one, and they continue to drive everything we do today.
Our journey began back in 1988, starting simply with buying and selling cars. As the business evolved and new opportunities emerged, we expanded into van hire. When those vans weren’t on hire, we put them to work locally, keeping the wheels turning and unknowingly laying the foundations for what would become Jays Logistics.
What started as moving a few local loads quickly grew. With drivers on the road and demand increasing, Jays Logistics was born. Fast forward to today, and we’re proud to be part of multiple pallet networks, operating from two depots with warehousing facilities.
A key part of our growth has been the involvement in the pallet networks: The Pallet Network, The Hazchem Network and United Pallet Network. Being a part of these networks allows us to offer nationwide coverage while still delivering the personal, hands-on service our customers expect. It’s the best of both worlds – local expertise combined with the strength, efficiency and reliability of a wider logistics community.
Our customers benefit from flexible solutions, dependable transit times, and the confidence that their freight is handled with care at every stage.
Over the years we have also been proud to support major UK infrastructure projects, including our involvement with Hinkley Point C and the HS2 project. These projects demand precision, reliability and a logistics partner that understands the importance of compliance, planning and consistency. Being trusted to play a role in work of this scale reflects the standards we hold ourselves to every day, no matter the size of the job.
This year marks a major milestone for us as we celebrate 20 years as part of the RT Keedwell Group and operating as Jays Logistics (South West) Ltd. Becoming part of the group has strengthened and expanded our capabilities, while allowing us to retain the family values and hands-on approach that define who we are.
Over the past two decades, this partnership has supported our growth and helped us deliver an even higher level of service to our customers.
While the business has grown, our mindset hasn’t changed. In logistics, bigger isn’t always better. As a family-run company, our name is on everything we do. That means we care deeply about our customers, partners, and our team. Our values aren’t slogans on a wall, they’re the dinner-table conversations that built this business. Every job matters to us, whether it’s big or small, because relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
As we look ahead into the New Year, we’re proud of how far we’ve come, but even more focused on how we continue to grow the right way.
