Due to our support for HPC we were invited by Balfour Beatty to tender for the tunnel segment project for BBV and were successful.
The project is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Vinci constructing various tunnels for the project but mainly at the Bromford site in Birmingham.
By onboarding drivers and vehicles for full site access, Jays have been able offer a full package of “final mile” delivery and storage to the site.
Our vehicles are site compliant and our drivers have had extensive training culminating in them receiving permanent site passes. We also have direct access to the delivery management system to book and manage all of our deliveries, without requiring support and interaction from on-site personnel.
We are working closely with Balfour Beatty, Vinci and their own supply chains, covering a variety of loads directly onto the project with our vehicles covering upwards of 40 loads a day across the sites.
We are currently supporting the Avonmouth factory, Filton Airfield and Bromford sites utilising 50 plus flatbed trailers per day.
In addition to the transport support, due to the ever changing environment onsite, we are also covering various storage projects that are unable to be covered onsite but need to be close enough for quick call off, when required.
